What does the Policy Management Utility do?
The Policy Management Utility is where you combine TTC's pre-defined default or your custom-defined Property and Time Sets into a Policy. Once you create a Policy, you can assign it to an end-user.

1. If creating a new Policy, click the 'create a new policy' link. Otherwise, select a Policy from the Policy pulldown and skip to #4.
2. Name the Policy in the field provided.
3. Click the Save link.
4. Select/Add/Delete the Property and Time sets you want to use.
5. Click the Add Set link. TTC automatically saves the Policy. You can now apply the Policy to Assignees.

The following explains the major links and components of the Policy Management Utility:

• Choose a policy type - Use this pulldown to select a Content Filter, Security Agent or Tiered Admin Policy.
• Create a new policy - Click on this link to create a new Policy. Enter a Name and then click the Save link.
• Save - Click on this link to Save the new Policy and start configuring it.
• Cancel - Click on this link to stop creating the new Policy and start over.
• Policy Pulldown - Click on the Policy Pulldown to view or modify an existing Policy.
• Delete - Click on this link to delete the currently specified Policy. Use this option with care as you can cause unexpected behavior if you delete a Policy currently assigned and in use. TTC provides a warning when you attempt to use Delete.
• Property Sets Dialog - Use this section to Add, Change, or Delete sets to/from your Policy.
• Edit Set - Click on the Edit Set link to review or modify the Sets within the specified Policy.
• Delete - Click on the Delete link to delete the sets within the specified Policy.
• Select a property set - Use this pulldown to select a pre-defined default or your custom-defined Property Set.
• Apply an existing time set - Use this pulldown to select a pre-defined default or your custom-defined Time Set. Or, you can specify other times in the following section.
• Select the desired days - Enable the days you want to make the Policy active.
• Select the time range - Select All Day if you want TTC to enforce the Policy 24 hours a day. To customize a Time Range, select Specified Time Range then specify Beginning and Ending times.
• Beginning - Use the Hour Pulldown to select a starting time in 15-minute increments. Use the AM/PM Pulldown to specify the morning or afternoon hour.
• Ending - Use the Hour Pulldown to select an ending time in 15-minute increments. Use the AM/PM Pulldown to specify the morning or afternoon hour.
• Add Set - Once you've specified a Property and Time set, click the Add Set link to save the Policy. TTC displays the newly created/saved Policy components.
