The Local Monitoring Properties specify what processes of the local TTC Security Server will be monitored and reported. Error conditions on the TTC server can be recorded for local review as well as trigger the sending of alert email messages to designated network personnel.
Initially, the monitoring properties are set to report TTC monitor data directly to the Lightspeed Systems TTC Server Monitoring Center for observation and remedial response (Use Default Monitoring). All data is recorded for local monitoring reports review.
To actively monitor the alerts and the operating conditions of your TTC server locally, you should create a special email mailbox and add its address to the Alert Email List. The email alerts sent to the designated mailbox will provide you a better understanding of the types of server functions being monitored as well as the format and content of the alert messages your server is generating under default settings. Once 'normal operating conditions' have been quantified using the alert messages you receive, along with reviewing the Monitoring Alerts Report, you can return to these settings and modify them to fine tune your network alert needs and properly dispatch essential email alerts to appropriate network personnel.
