The Known Programs is a list of common operating system and application program files, primarily compiled by Lightspeed Systems and enhanced by the 'discovery' of applications and programs from the local networks. Each known program in the list is associated with a unique File ID (form of cryptographic file identifier), which is digital representation of the unmodified and uncorrupted content of the program file, regardless of the file's name.

Within the Intrusion Rules Table you can review the archived details of the listed programs, modify the application permissions assigned to programs or remove programs from the table and database.

• Click on a Details link to open the Lightspeed Archive and review the details for the associated program.
• Click on an Edit link to open the editing dialog for the associated Program. Though all of the parameters for the program's listing are eligible for editing, modifications beyond Program Permissions settings should be avoided or done in consultation with Lightspeed Systems Support Engineers. • Click on a Delete link to remove the associated Known Program from the table.
• Click on the Add to Favorites icon to place a direct link to this table on the Databases 'Favorites' list.

The Tools page includes a table-related database SEARCH utility and TOOLBOX utilities to assist with viewing and managing the contents of the table.

• Search - Enter the name or partial name of the Application Name or Process that you wish to review and edit. Wildcard characters ( * ) can be used to extend the search argument, or used by itself to return the entire list.
• Add Known Program - This function opens the Add Known Program creation dialog where you can enter the necessary components to create a new Known Program entry for the table. ('Known Program - Design Information)
