The Registry Controls lets you set, delete, protect, and monitor registry keys and values for PCs that have the Security Agent installed. With Registry Controls in place you can minimize the impact of spyware and restore desired registry settings if unauthorized changes are made by any source.

This table is initially provided and primarily updated by Lightspeed Systems and will generally contain Registry Keys and settings related mostly to spyware exploits.

Control Settings (P, S, M and D):

• P - PROTECTED - Specifies that the registry key is unavailable for modification by programs and remote users.
• S - SET - Specifies that the corresponding registry key has specific settings that will be restored by the Security Agent during each registry scan. (Security Agent Properties - online Help)
• M - MONITORED - Specifies that the corresponding registry key will be monitored and if altered in any way, it will be reported to the TTC server and incorporated into the Security Agent's Monitored Keys Report. (Security Agent - Monitored Keys Report - online Help)
• D - DELETE - Specifies that if the related key is added or modified, the client's Security Agent will delete the entire key during the registry scan. (Security Agent Properties - online Help)

Functions:

• Click on a Edit link to modify the control parameters for the associated registry key. (More Help)
• Click on a Delete link to remove a Registry Key entry from the table.
• Click on the Add to Favorites icon to place a direct link to this table on the Databases 'Favorites' list.

The Tools page includes a table-related database SEARCH utility and TOOLBOX utilities to assist with viewing and managing the contents of the table.

• Search - Enter the name or partial name of the Registry Key or Key Value that you wish to review and edit. Wildcard characters ( * ) can be used to extend the search argument, or used by itself to return the entire list.
• Add Registry Control - This function opens the Add Registry Control dialog where you can add a new registry key and its control settings to the table. This function is similar to the EDIT function. (More Help)
