Scanned Unknown Programs Report

What does this report tell me?
The Scanned Unknown Programs Report provides a list of Security Agent-enabled computers on which Security Agent found programs not in the Known Programs Database. The report expands to provide a complete list of unknown applications by Computer and options to Allow or Block the applications network-wide.

Why should I use this report?
Use this report to audit new applications installed on your network and allow or block them.

How do I read it?
TTC generates this report in alphabetic order by Computer name. This report can be lengthy if you just deployed the SA and configured the initial scan to not “Accept All Programs as Known”. To speed your review, use the Search function to find a specific Computer or IP Address. The following explains the report's components and links:

Domain - This column shows the Active Directory domain in which the Computer belongs. Click on the Domain link to expand the report and show a list of directories where SA found new programs along with options to Allow or Block each directory. Click on the Directory link to show the greater detail with options to Allow or Block individual programs within the directory.
Computer - This column shows the Computer name as reported to TTC by Security Agent.
IP Address - This column shows the IP address of the computer reporting to TTC.
Allow - Click on the Allow link to categorize the unknown program into a normally allowed category and add it to the Known Programs Database.
Block - Click on the Block link to categorize the unknown program into a normally blocked category and add it to the Known Programs Database.
